How to use TheEdge

Our Picks

The model's best player props for tonight, ranked — the place to start if you're not sure what to bet.

Use it when you want a short list you can play right now on your app.

1. Tap a sport card, then your app (PrizePicks, Underdog…) to narrow the board.
2. Every card leads with the side (▲ Over / ▼ Under), the win % in the ring, and the reason.
3. Tap + to save it to My List; tap the card for the full read.

💡 The ring's % is calibrated on graded picks — it's how often picks like this have actually hit.

Games

Every game on the board: who we pick to win and how sure, favorite-or-underdog value, our number vs the market, and live tracking.

Use it when you bet sides and totals — or want to watch a game with our picks in it.

1. Tap a game for its page: Preview before it starts, Live once it does.
2. "We pick" is our side and %; "Favorite or underdog" says if the price leans either way.
3. Live shows the drive, at-bat or power play, the win chance, and how each of our picks is pacing.

Projections

Every prop on tonight's board with its hit rates (last 5, 10, 20, season, vs this opponent), the matchup and the model's side.

Use it when you want to find your own pick — or check a line you saw on an app.

1. Start from a play under "Find your edge" — Hot hand, Soft spot, Line off his average, Owns this team… — or build your own case under "Your edge": form, matchup, the line, situation.
2. Narrow it with App › Sport › Game › Stats. Every row says why it's here, in its own numbers.
3. Make the call — save your combo as ★ My edge, open any row for the full read, and bring in our model only if you want it.

💡 The app lays out the evidence; you pick. Our read is one filter, not the answer.

Trends

Tonight's loudest trends ("8 of his last 10") — for our pick or against it — each with how that kind of trend has really hit.

Use it when you like streaks, but want to know which ones mean something.

1. Scan the feed: a trend either backs our pick or fights it.
2. Each one shows its graded hit rate, so a loud streak with a weak record stands out.
3. Tap a trend to open the pick.

Players

Everyone on tonight's board. Open a player for every market, his game log, splits, matchup and where to play it.

Use it when you already have a player in mind.

1. Search a name or team, or sort by the best model read.
2. Chips show each market's side and %.
3. Tap a player for his full page.

Odds Screen

Each player market at its main line with every sportsbook's Over/Under, the best price on each side, the fair (no-vig) %, and the pick'em apps' lines.

Use it when you want the best price before you bet.

1. Find the market — the best price on each side is filled green.
2. Fair % is the market with the bookmaker's cut removed.
3. Tap a book's header to pin your book to the left.

Matchups

Every defense by stat and by team — who gives up the most points, rebounds, yards — plus each player's best and worst spots.

Use it when you want to know if tonight's matchup helps or hurts a player.

1. Pick a sport and a stat.
2. Softest defenses sit at the top, toughest at the bottom.
3. Open a player's page for his spot map.

Cheat Sheets

Free daily sheets — top plays, prop streaks, the best number, PrizePicks alternates, defense rankings — with our read on every row.

Use it when a quick scan before you build a slip, or something to share.

1. Pick a sheet.
2. Each row has our side and win %.
3. Tap a row to open it in TheEdge.

+EV

Sportsbook prices that pay more than the fair odds — the sharp market with the bookmaker's cut taken out. Our model is the second opinion.

Use it when you bet at sportsbooks and want value over the long run.

1. Sort by EV % — how much the price beats fair.
2. "★ Model agrees" means our model is on the same side.
3. Bet it at the book shown, at that price or better.

💡 +EV wins over many bets, not every bet. Size small and stay consistent.

Arbitrage

The Over at one book and the Under at another, priced so the pair pays either way.

Use it when you have accounts at more than one book.

1. Open an arb to see both legs and how much to put on each.
2. Place both legs quickly — prices move.
3. The Arbitrage calculator splits any stake for you.

💡 Books limit accounts that only arb — use it sparingly.

Middles

The Over on a lower line at one book and the Under on a higher line at another — land in the gap and both win.

Use it when books disagree on a line.

1. A bigger gap means a better chance of landing in it.
2. If it misses the gap, one side wins and one loses — you pay a little juice.
3. The Middles calculator shows every outcome.

DFS Edges

Pick'em legs (PrizePicks, Underdog and more) where the sportsbooks price that side above the app's break-even.

Use it when you play pick'em apps.

1. Find the legs with the biggest edge over break-even.
2. The model chip says whether our model agrees.
3. Build the slip in your app.

💡 A 2-pick Power Play on PrizePicks needs each leg to hit about 57.7% to break even.

The picks you saved — and how they are doing live once the games start.

Use it when before games (to build your slip) and during them (to sweat it).

2. During games each pick shows hit, missed or on pace.
