Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
- You can use TheEdge without giving us your name or email.
- No ads, no advertising trackers, no analytics companies. We don't sell or rent your data.
- We never take bets, hold money or ask for payment details.
- You can delete your account and everything tied to it from the Account page at any time.
TheEdge (theedgeprops.com and the TheEdge apps) is run by ZBN×NEXUS ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we store when you use TheEdge, why, and the choices you have. We run TheEdge on our own servers.
What we store
- A device ID. The first time you open TheEdge your browser or app creates a random ID. It lets your saved picks and settings follow you without signing up. It isn't linked to your name, phone number or advertising ID.
- What you do in the app. Picks you save, bets you choose to log, the pick'em app you play on, your favorite team, players you follow, the sports you picked, your Daily 3 calls, and a display name if you set one.
- Sign-in. If you save your account with a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID or a security key), we store only the passkey's public key. Your fingerprint or face never leaves your device. If you sign in with email, we store that email address and a short-lived code. Codes for linking another device are kept in memory for 10 minutes and then discarded.
- Notifications. If you turn on alerts, we store the push address your browser or phone gives us and which alerts you want.
- Fantasy. Teams and leagues you bring in: a Sleeper username (to find your leagues), league and team IDs, rosters, scoring settings and draft rooms. For a private ESPN league you may paste two ESPN sign-in values (espn_s2 and SWID). We use them for that one request to ESPN and never store or log them.
- Messages you send us through the contact form, including the email address you give for a reply.
- Technical data. Your IP address is used briefly to stop abuse (rate limits). Our web server keeps standard access logs (time, page requested, technical details) for 14 days.
Some settings, like Halloween mode or a remembered tab, stay in your browser's storage and never reach us.
How we use it
- To show your picks, record, alerts and fantasy teams on every device you link.
- To send the notifications you turned on.
- To keep the service working and secure, and to fix problems.
- To count active users in aggregate (for example, how many accounts were active today).
We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't build profiles to sell.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare carries traffic to our servers and protects them from attacks, so it handles your connection.
- Notification services (Apple, Google, Mozilla) deliver alerts to your device, so they see the alert's text.
- Images and fonts. Player photos and team logos load from the leagues' and ESPN's image servers, and fonts load from Google Fonts and Fontshare. Like any website, those servers see your IP address when your device loads them.
- League imports. When you connect a Sleeper or ESPN league, our server asks Sleeper or ESPN for that league's data.
The sports data we use (schedules, box scores, lines) comes from public sources and data providers. We send them no personal information about you. We share personal data only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account, saved picks, passkeys, alert subscriptions, fantasy teams and draft rooms are removed from our live database right away. Nightly backups are kept for 14 days and then overwritten. Contact messages are kept until we've dealt with them.
Your choices
- Delete everything: on the Account page, tap Delete account (or Delete my data if you never saved an account). Or send a request through the contact form.
- Turn off alerts: Account → Alerts, or in your phone's settings.
- See or correct your data: ask through the contact form and we'll reply within 30 days.
- Start fresh on one device: sign out, or clear this site's data in your browser.
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete or move your data. We honor those requests through the contact form.
Age
TheEdge is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has used TheEdge, tell us and we'll delete the account.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. Sign-in uses passkeys instead of passwords, and the data lives on servers we run ourselves. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll tell affected users promptly if something goes wrong.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above. Big changes will also be announced in the app.
Contact
Questions or requests: use the contact form. Choose "Privacy / my data" and include an email address if you want a reply.
